WICHITA, Kan. – The Wichita State University baseball team played game three of its Fall World Series Tuesday, October 15, at Eck Stadium, Home of Tyler Field, with the Black Team grabbing a 3-1 victory over the Yellow Team to take the lead in the series, 2-1.
Game four of the best-of-five series is scheduled for Friday, October 18, at 2 p.m.
The Black Team was led offensively by junior first-baseman 
Garrett Kocis who went 3-for-4 with a double and a towering solo home run, while 
Hunter Gibson went a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate, tallying an RBI in the winning effort.
Freshman right-hander 
Brandon Troxler (1-0) earned the win for the Black Team after allowing zero earned runs on one hit with one walk and two strikeouts in three innings of work.
Paxton Wallace went 1-for-3 on the day, driving in the only run for the Yellow Team in the top of the sixth inning. Sophomores 
Jack Sigrist and 
Brady Slavens, along with freshman 
Cade Clemons also picked up hits in the game.
Redshirt-junior 
Trevor Munsch (0-1) suffered the loss on the rubber after allowing two earned runs on four hits with one walk and no strikeouts in three innings pitched.
