TULSA, Okla. – Oral Roberts scored two runs in the third inning and held on for a 2-1 win over No. 22 Wichita State.
The Shockers had just three hits in the game, a double by
Travis Young and singles from
Jordan Boyer and
Greyson Jenista.
Starter
Keylan Killgore went two innings and gave up two runs on three hits with three walks and four strikeouts.
Cal Hernandez led off the third with a double and Nick Roark followed with a walk to chase Killgore. Noah Cummings doubled in Hernandez and Roark scored on Spencer Henson's sacrifice fly to put the Golden Eagles up 2-0.
The Shockers got on the board in the sixth.
Luke Ritter was hit by a pitch and
Greyson Jenista walked. Both runners advanced on a wild pitch and Ritter came home to score on another wild pitch to cut the lead to 2-1.
The Shockers are next in action on Fri., March 9 when they host UT Arlington at 6 p.m. at Eck Stadium.
