WICHITA, Kan. – No. 26 Wichita State scored the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning on a wild pitch to defeat Oklahoma 2-1.
Luke Ritter went 2-for-4, while
Trey Vickers went 1-for-3 with a home run and a RBI.
Starter
Alex Segal went two innings and gave up one unearned run on one hit with two walks and three strikeouts. Reliever
Keylan Killgore earned the win with one shutout inning, while
Chandler Sanburn got the save by getting the last two outs.
The Sooners got on the board in the second with help from the Shockers. Brylie Ware led off with a double and moved to third on a flyout. After a strikeout, Domenic DeRenzo reached on a Shocker error and Ware scored for a 1-0 Sooner lead.
Trey Vickers led off the second with a home run to right field to tie the game at one.

Jacob Katzfey advanced to second on a sac bunt from Vickers. With Paxton Wallace at the plate, a wild pitch scored Katzfey all the way from second to put the Shockers up 2-1.
The Shockers are next in action March 23-25 when they host Furman at Eck Stadium.
