LINCOLN, Neb. – Wichita State knocked off Wyoming, 4-0, and extended its win streak to five Saturday at the Dillon Tennis Center.
 
DOUBLES
The Shockers got on the board early taking the doubles point from the Cowgirls, with wins in the first and third flights. The duo of Fatima Bizhukova and Gabriela Porubin knocked off van der Ploeg/Koonik (6-3), followed by Ting-ya Hsu and Giulia Guidetti winning their fourth match of the season in third flight, (6-4). Sandra Honigova and Marta Bellucco's match was unfinished in flight two against Stencel and Tkachenko.
 
SINGLES
WSU stepped on the gas in singles action, winning three in a row to clinch the match against the Cowgirls. Freshman Sarvinoz Saidhujaeva got in the win column for the fifth time this season, winning in straight sets (6-0, 6-0) over Scott. Sandra Honigova extended her win streak to eight, (8-0) with a 6-1, 6-1 victory in the second flight over van Der Ploeg to extend the Shocker lead to 3-0. Senior Gabriela Porubin won 6-2, 6-2 in the fourth flight over Tkachenko to give the Shockers their fourth sweep of the season over the Cowgirls (4-0).
 
Bizhukova, who ranks No. 73, led (6-4, 2-3) in flight one, while Guidetti held a 6-2, 3-1 lead before the match went unfinished.
 
The Shockers improve to 8-2 on the season, and will face Nebraska tomorrow at 11 a.m. The match will be played at the Dillon Tennis Center on the campus of Nebraska.
