Wichita State Brings QDOBA to Koch Arena

WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State Athletics and Premier Food Service have partnered with QDOBA Mexican Eats to bring the Mexican restaurant chain to Charles Koch Arena. 

"We are excited to add QDOBA and be able to give our fans additional food options in Koch Arena," Director of Athletics Darron Boatright said. "We are always looking for ways to enhance our fan experience so we can continue to have one of the best atmospheres in college basketball."
 
QDOBA will reside in the concession stand between sections 104 and 108 and feature burritos, burrito bowls, loaded nachos, chips and queso and chips and guac. The stand will also sell drinks, candy and popcorn.
 
The QDOBA stand will be open for all men's basketball games and a few volleyball and women's basketball games. It is scheduled to open for the volleyball match on Friday, Oct. 26.
 
Wichita State will also feature several other new game day improvements at Koch Arena.
 
During men's basketball games, a new Shocker Lounge, available for all fans, will be open in the Aetna Multi-Purpose Facility with cocktail tables, adult beverages and TVs for Shocker fans to hang out. The lounge will be available to fans when doors open and will close after halftime.
 
Other arena enhancements include:
 
• Three charging stations, courtesy of Kansas Strong, for fans to utilize
• A new, updated Grand Mural in the concourse, courtesy of All Angles Collision Repair, Steve and Becky Austin, Kent and Karen Richards, Leonard Shockey and Dr. Greg Starr
• A new wall of the Shocker History Museum featuring the transition from the Missouri Valley Conference to the American Athletic Conference
• Expanded concessions menu including jalapeno poppers and fried macaroni and cheese along with an expanded selection of beverages and spirits
• Concessions will also include larger baskets of fries and nachos along with additional combo meals
• Sandwiches and wraps will continue to be served at select concession locations
 
There will also be a change in parking for men's basketball game days. Paid parking for fans with disabilities is available on a first-come, first-served basis in the lot surrounding Koch Arena. Guests must display a state-issued accessible license plate or hangtag and present a disability card along with a form of personal identification to access handicapped parking and pay a $10 charge, cash only. 
 
All men's basketball parking lots, including handicapped spaces, open three hours prior to scheduled tip time.
