TULSA, Okla. – Two Shockers finished play Tuesday in the qualifying back draw of the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa.

Inoue and Frosa both competed in the back draw, at the Union High Tennis Center. Inoue took on current USC freshman and Overland Park, Kan., native Bradley Frye, while Frosa took the court against North Carolina's Bo Boyden.

Inoue got off to a quick start over Frye, and clinched the first set (7-5). Frye took the lead early in the second and never looked back, collecting a 6-4 second set win. In the third, Inoue rallied to a 3-2 advantage before Frye answered, winning the set (6-4) and the match, 5-7, 6-4, 6-4.

Frosa kicked off afternoon play in the back draw versus Boyden, who came into the match ranked No. 123 in the latest ITA/Oracle Singles Rankings. Frosa stuck around in the first set, tying the match at two all early. The two traded games to force a tiebreaker and Boyden came out on top, 7-6(3). Boyden jolted to a 4-1 lead in the second set, before winning 6-2.

WSU is next in action Oct. 18-22 at the ITA Central Regional in Tulsa, Okla., at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
