VALENTINE, Neb. - The Wichita State men's golf team finished play in The Jackrabbit on Tuesday. The Shockers compiled a team score of 894 and finished in a tie for ninth place.

Senior Adrien Michellod earned his third career top-20 finish after placing in a tie for 20th. Michellod shot a 75 in the final round to give himself a 220 54-hole score.

Senior Yannik Emmert shot a 76 to earn 28th place and sophomore Zac Owens finished in a tie for 33rd after shooting a 73 in the final 18 holes. Sophomore Palmer Hays shot a 79 to total his score to 231, earning his highest career finish with a tie for 47th.

Freshman Dawson Lewis shot a 77 to put himself in a tie for 63rd.

Kansas stormed back from behind against American Athletic Conference opponent, UCF, to claim the tournament title.

The Shockers wrap up their fall season on Oct. 15 when they travel to Las Cruces, N.M., for the Herb Wimberly Invitational. This will be Wichita State's ninth straight appearance in New Mexico State's invitational. Updates will be available on the men's golf team's Twitter @GoShockersMGLF.
