WICHITA, Kan. - Oklahoma State scored five runs in the second inning on the way to a 6-3 win over the Shockers.
Starting pitcher
Keylan Killgore went 1.2 innings giving up three hits and five runs, three unearned with two strikeouts.
Greyson Jenista went 2-for-4 with two singles and a run.
Alex Jackson was 1-for-5 with a single and two RBI.
Oklahoma State put up five runs in the second inning. Jacob Chappell had a sac bunt RBI to start the scoring for the Cowboys. Garrett McCain followed with a fielder's choice RBI and a Cade Cabbiness two RBI single.
Jenista reached on a fielder's choice in the sixth inning and
Alec Bohm followed with a single to right field to put runners on first and second with one out.
Trey Vickers delivered a two-out single to center field to score Jenista.
Cameron Dobbs extended the lead for the Cowboys in the ninth on a leadoff home run to make the score 6-1.
In the ninth for the Shockers,
Gunnar Troutwine reached on a throwing error by the third baseman with one out.
Josh DeBacker was hit by a pitch to put runners on first and second. After a groundout by
Luke Ritter, Jackson extended his hitting streak to seven with a two-out two RBI single to center field to cut the lead to 6-3.
The Shockers are next in action on Fri., April 7 when they host Southern Illinois at 6 p.m. at Eck Stadium.
