STILLWATER, Okla. -- The men's tennis team was swept by No. 7 Oklahoma State 0-4 this evening at the Greenwood Tennis Center.

Oklahoma State (16-3) swept the doubles point, starting with Artur Dubinski/Lukas Finzelberg sweeping Jan Poboril/Haru Inoue 6-0 in the third flight. It was the first time that Poboril and Inoue have competed as a duo. The No. 76-ranked duo of Lucas Gerch/Jurence Mendoza topped Murkel Dellien/Marius Frosa 6-4 in the second flight, followed by No. 2 Julian Cash/Arjun Kadhe winning 6-4 over Jocelyn Devilliers/Eddie Stoica in the fop flight.

The Cowboys quickly captured the three singles points, beginning with Mendoza topping Poboril in the sixth flight 6-2, 6-3. Gerch took the second flight match, defeating Devilliers 6-4, 6-3, and Tristan Meraut closed the match out with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Stoica in the fifth flight. In a matchup of ranked opponents, No. 77 Kadhe was leading No. 79 Inoue 6-3, 5-1 in the top flight before going unfinished. Newcomers Frosa and Dellien - each of whom have won seven of their last ten matches - also left their matches unfinished.

The Shockers remain one game above .500, dropping to 9-8 on the season.

WSU has a short turnaround, hosting a doubleheader on Sat., March 25 at the Coleman Tennis Complex. The Shockers first host UT Arlington, a team Wichita State has defeated earlier this season, at 1 p.m., and then No. 4 (in JuCo ranks) Seward Community College at 4:30 p.m.
