WICHITA, Kan. - The men's tennis team hosts its home opener on Saturday at 4 p.m. against Creighton at Genesis Health Club.
The dual was rescheduled from its original Jan. 14 date, but inclement weather forced the match to be postponed.
The Shockers (1-3) are coming off of a trip to Fort Worth, Texas, where they competed in the ITA Kick-Off Classic. The team lost their first matchup against Utah State - who won the Regional - by a score of 4-1, and topped Pacific 4-3 for their first win of the year. The win was also
Danny Bryan's first victory as head coach.
The Bluejays (2-2) have wins over North Dakota and William Jewell College, and have lost to Northern Illinois and Iowa.
The teams last faced each other on March 28, 2015, with WSU sweeping Creighton 7-0 at the Coleman Tennis Complex.
