Box Score (PDF)EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Evansville used two big innings to take a 7-2 win in game two of the three-game series.
Starter
Cody Tyler went six innings and gave up four runs on six hits with two walks and five strikeouts.
Dayton Dugas went 2-for-4 with a RBI, while
Chase Rader went 2-for-3.
The Aces used a big second inning to take an early lead. Josh Jyawook doubled with one out and moved to third on Nate Reeder's two-out infield single. A bad hop grounder scored Jyawook and Eric McKibban and Trey Hair followed with walks. Jonathan Ramon's two-run single gave the Aces a 4-0 lead.
The Shockers finally got on the board in the top of the sixth.
Gunnar Troutwine led off with a walk and moved to second on a single by
Chase Rader.
Dayton Dugas singled to left field to drive in Troutwine to make the score 4-1. With two outs,
Luke Ritter's infield single scored Rader to cut the lead to 4-2.
Ramon's three-run home run in the bottom of the seventh increased the Aces lead to 7-2.
The Shockers and Aces wrap up the series on Sun., April 10 at 1 p.m.
