Alec Bohm in the 10th inning would win a wild, exciting game for the Shockers to take two of three against Bradley on Sunday afternoon.
Greyson Jenista would go 2-for-5 with a double, home run, and 3 RBI to lead the Shockers.
Bradley would strike first to give the Braves an early advantage. A home run by Luke Mangieri, an RBI triple by Tyler Leffler, and an Evan Gruener double to score Leffler from third would make the score 3-0 after the first inning.
The Braves would tack on another run in the fourth after a home run by Andy Shadid to make the score 4-0.
The Shocker bats would answer back in the fifth inning with a lead off double down the right field line by
Travis Young.
Mikel Mucha would get on base after a throwing error by shortstop Tyler Leffler to score Young from third to make the score 4-1.
Greyson Jenista would then crush a three-run home run to right field to tie the score at four a piece.
Dayton Dugas would get the sixth inning started for the Shockers with a single in to right field. Dugas would advance on to third after a stolen base where the throw by catcher Ian Kristan would roll in to center field.
Trey Vickers would punch a single in to left field to give the Shockers a 5-4 lead before
Mikel Mucha would line a single up the middle to score Vickers from second to give the Shockers a 6-4 lead after six innings.
Bradley would re-take the lead after getting five combined runs in the seventh and eighth inning to make the score 9-6.
In the ninth, Jenista would line a ground-rule-double over the right field wall, Troutwine would walk, and
Alec Bohm would bloop a double just inside the right field line to make the score 9-7. Dugas would groundout to short to score Troutwine from third to make the score 9-8. Rader would beat out a throw to first by an air-mailed throw by Leffler in which would score Bohm from third to tie the ball game at nine.
The Shockers would start their half of the 10th off with a walk by
Keenan Eaton, an intentional walk by Jenista, and a walk by Troutwine bringing up
Alec Bohm with two outs.
Alec Bohm would rope a single into center to win the game for the Shockers 10-9.
Wichita State will host Kansas State on Tuesday, April 26, at Eck Stadium with the first pitch set for 6:30 p.m.
