Box Score (PDF)FULLERTON, Calif. – Colton Eastman threw seven shutout innings to lead No. 23 Cal State Fullerton to a 7-1 win over Wichita State in game three of the series.
Starter
Zach Lewis went 6.1 innings and gave up four earned runs on six hits with no walks and seven strikeouts.
Josh DeBacker went 2-for-3, while
Travis Young,
Greyson Jenista,
Chase Rader and
Dayton Dugas each had a hit.
Timmy Richards' solo home run in the bottom of the first gave the Titans a quick 1-0 lead.
They used a RBI triple from Taylor Bryant to increase the lead to 2-0 in the bottom of the second and a Josh Vargas home run in the third made it 3-0.
The Titans scored four runs on four hits, two walks and an error in the bottom of the seventh to take a 7-0 lead.
The Shockers scored an unearned run in the ninth for the final 7-1 score.
The Shockers are next in action on Tue., March 15 when they host North Dakota at 3 p.m. at Eck Stadium.
