WICHITA, Kan. – No. 67 Wichita State hosts Nebraska and New Mexico State this weekend for the first of six straight home matches at Genesis Health Club. The Shockers welcome the Huskers for a 6 p.m. clash on Friday, Feb. 12 before concluding with New Mexico State on Sunday, Feb. 14 at 10 a.m. CT.

Last Time Out
The Shockers went 1-1 over the weekend in Colorado with a win over Air Force, 4-0, and a tough 4-3 loss to No. 52 Denver. In the 4-3 loss to Denver, WSU dropped the doubles point for the first time in three matches, which would end up determining the outcome in the match. Wichita State got wins at No. 1, 2 and 5 in singles, courtesy of Tin Ostojic, Miroslav Herzan and Haru Inoue. At the Air Force Academy, the Shockers took the doubles point and then received wins in singles on court Nos. 1, 3 and 4, where all three of those matches went three sets. The win vs. Air Force snapped a three-match losing streak for WSU, all coming by scores of 4-3 and on the road.
 
Wichita State Notables
The Shockers remain at No. 67 in the Oracle/ITA Team Rankings. Ostojic jumped to No. 95 and Herzan made the cut at No. 121 to lead WSU in singles. In the ITA Doubles Rankings, Herzan and Inoue moved up 12 spots to No. 22 after starting the spring slate at No. 34. Ostojic and partner Jocelyn Devilliers enter the rankings at No. 38.

Ostojic started the fall season all the way at No. 26, one of the highest singles rankings in school history, before being left out of the rankings to begin the spring. The Zagreb, Croatia, native has won his last five singles matches and currently sits at 6-2 in dual matches, while playing in the No. 1 position.

Herzan is 3-3 in dual matches and sports two wins over nationally-ranked opponents, including his most recent win over Denver's No. 45 Diogo Rocha.

Herzan and Inoue lead the Shockers with a 13-4 mark in doubles play with three top-30 wins. Ostojic and Devilliers have come on strong to begin dual action, having won five consecutive matches. The duo is 6-2 on the season, including a 5-1 mark in the No. 1 doubles spot.
 
About Nebraska
The Huskers come into the weekend with a 3-2 record having wins over Omaha (6-1), North Dakota (7-0) and UMKC (6-1) and losses to Denver (5-2) and Oregon (6-1).
 
About New Mexico State
New Mexico State sports a 1-4 record with its lone win vs. Weber State (4-3). The Aggies dropped matches to Arizona (7-0), Gonzaga (4-3), UNLV (6-1) and UC Riverside (4-3).
