WICHITA, Kan. – Sloan Anderson pitched her second-consecutive shutout and moved to 10-11 on the season as the Wichita State softball team swept the Northern Iowa Panthers with a 6-0 win Sunday afternoon at Wilkins Stadium.

Cacy Williams went 1-for-1 on the day with a run scored and two walks to go along with her 2.000 slugging and 1.000 on-base percentages, while Kelli Spring hit .500 (1-for-2) with a double and three RBIs in the victory.

The Shockers picked up right where they left off Saturday, scoring six runs in the first inning, highlighted by a leadoff double by Williams, three-straight singles by Broyles, Luellen and Mason before Spring rounded out the inning with a three RBI double to left center to give Wichita State a 6-0 cushion.

Anderson (10-11) was a force on the mound for the Shockers in the following innings, allowing just two hits and one walk, while striking out three before the game was called due to weather. Anderson kept the Panthers to a .135 batting average over two games, allowing five hits and striking out six.

Wichita State is next in action when it hosts Missouri State Wednesday, with the first pitch scheduled for 5 p.m.
