WICHITA, Kan.- Junior Guillermo Nicol defeated Steven Fletcher 6-2, 6-1 to clinch Wichita State's 7-0 victory over Washburn on Friday afternoon at Genesis Health Club.

The Shockers took an early lead in the match by capturing all three doubles matches over the Ichabods. Tomislav Gregurovic and Erick Reyes sealed the point for Wichita State (7-3) when they defeated Chance Joos and Bobby Florence, 8-3.

Gregurovic was the first to finish his singles match, defeating Thilo Schlenker in straight sets, 6-1, 6-0. Tin Ostojic defeated Florence 6-4, 6-0 before Nicol wrapped the match up with his singles win. Ilija Cuic, Erick Reyes and Alvaro Gutierrez also got singles victories.

The Shockers are back in action on Saturday at Genesis Health Club against Oral Roberts. The match will begin at noon and live stats will be available.
