INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.- Senior Lutfiana Budiharto was selected
as an automatic qualifier to compete in the NCAA Singles Championships, which
will take place in Athens, Ga., May 23-28 after the team championships are
completed.
Budiharto earned the automatic qualification from the
Missouri Valley Conference by being ranked in the ITA top 125, where she is
currently ranked No. 82. The senior from Jakarta, Indonesia has an overall
singles record of 24-5 on the season, including a perfect 7-0 in conference
play. She helped lead the Shockers to a MVC Championship and berth into the
NCAA Team Championships.
The Shockers will head to Austin, Texas on May 11th
to take on the Texas Longhorns in the first round of the NCAA Team Championship. The
match is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
