WICHITA, Kan.- The Shocker softball team dropped both games of Friday's doubleheader at Wilkins Stadium to a surging Creighton team by scores of 9-1 and 14-4.

Creighton began Friday's opening game with a five run first inning that included three home runs and the Shockers were never able to recover. On the day, the Bluejays sent eight balls beyond the fences at Wilkins Stadium and got quality pitching performances from starters Becca Changstrom and Alexis Cantu.

Friday's second game was a showcase of sorts for Cantu who threw a complete game in the circle while belting three home runs off of Shocker pitchers.

Holly Eckert had a solo home run in game two but it was too little, too late as Wichita State was never within striking distance.

The series will conclude at noon, Saturday at Wilkins Stadium.
