WICHITA, Kan.- The Wichita Sate men's tennis team defeated
the Washburn Ichabods, 7-0, Saturday afternoon at the Sheldon Coleman Tennis
Complex.
The Shockers would go up a point early, winning all three
doubles contests to go up, 1-0.
The Shockers success continued in the singles competition,
as Wichita State took all six matches. Matheus Pereira (WSU) def. Arkadiusz
Kozaczuk (WU), 6-7, 6-1, (10) and Tomislav Gregurovic (WSU) def. Steven
Fletcher (WU), 4-6, 7-6 (5), 6-3, in three set matches to help the Shockers
capture their eleventh win of the season.
The Shocker men are back in action in Carbondale,
Ill. on Saturday, April 7th for their first conference
match on the season against Southern Illinois. The match starts at 11 a.m.
