WICHITA, Kan. - Wichita State finished the 2012 volleyball
season ranked seventh in the nation in average attendance. The Shockers averaged 2,899 fans per match
and have ranked in the top-10 in attendance for seven-straight years.
The total attendance of 34,792 ranks as the fourth-best in
Shocker history, while the average of 2,899 ranks second. WSU also had two matches in 2012 that rank in
the top-10. The crowd of 5,812 on Oct.
26 against UNI ranks as the fourth-best crowd in school history, while the
crowd of 3,825 against Missouri State on Nov. 9 ranks as the 10th-best.
In the final NCAA statistics report, junior setter Chelsey
Feekin finished fifth nationally in hitting percentage. Feekin hit .435 in 2012, which is a new school
record for hitting percentage in a season.
The previous record was .429 set by Elizabeth Meyers in 2005.
