TULSA, Okla. -- The No. 72 Wichita State women's tennis team was dealt its fifth loss of the season Thursday in a 5-2 decision at No. 39 Tulsa. Lutfiana Budiharto and Florentina Hanisch were the only Shockers to pick up wins in Thursday's dual.

The rest of the Shockers weren't quite as fortunate in singles play. Anna Egorova dropped a 6-0, 6-4 match to Alexandra Kichoutkin in the No. 1 match, while Tulsa's Thalia Diaz-Barriga downed WSU's Torrie Browning, 6-1, 6-3, in the No. 3 match. Stephanie Dalmacio and Lenore Lazaroiu rounded out the Shocker scorecard. Dalmacio dropped a three-set, 6-4, 2-6, 6-2 decision to Anastasia Erofeeva in the No. 4 match, while Lazaroiu fell in three sets, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3, to Rebecca Row.
Budiharto was also a part of WSU's only doubles win. The freshman teamed with Lazaroiu to win the No. 2 doubles match in an 8-4 decision over Erofeeva and Zeng. Tulsa was able to pick up 8-5 wins in the remaining doubles matches to win the doubles point.
The loss drops WSU's record to 14-5. The Shockers will return to action Saturday when they travel to Evansville, Ind., for an 11 a.m. match against Evansville's Purple Aces.
