WICHITA -- Wichita State sophomore guard Toure' Murry led all scorers with 15 points as the Shockers beat North Dakota State, 69-57, Monday at Charles Koch Arena.

The Shockers posted their ninth-straight win to improve to 11-1 overall in front of a home crowd of 10,429.

Nine Shockers scored in the win, which marked the team's 10th victory of the season by a double-digit margin. Junior forward Gabe Blair and senior guard Clevin Hannah each added 10 points. Hannah, the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week, also had seven assists.

North Dakota State lost its third-straight game and fell to 4-7 overall. The Bison were paced by junior forward Michael Tveidt's 14 points. Monday marked the first meeting between the schools since 1978.

The Shockers started strong, building up a 13-0 lead in the first six minutes and holding the Bison scoreless on their first six shots and without a point until the 13:39 mark. North Dakota State went on to shoot 33.3 percent in the half.

Wichita State built up a 35-20 lead by halftime, shooting 43.3 percent, and led by junior forward JT Durley's seven points. Hannah posted three steals and six assists in the first 20 minutes to match his six points.

Junior guard Graham Hatch came out shooting in the second half, scoring the Shockers' first six points after halftime. Wichita State's early 8-2 run built up a 21-point lead, 43-22, at the 17:35 mark.

A layup from Wichita State freshman guard Demetric Williams with 6:33 left in the game extended the Shockers to their largest lead of the game, 64-41. North Dakota State answered with a 14-2 run to cut the Shocker lead to 11 with 2:41 left in the game.

Wichita State forced 14 Bison turnovers in the game, which resulted in 13 points.

Monday concluded a three-game homestand for the Shockers and their non-conference schedule.

Wichita State next travels to Illinois State for a 7:05 p.m. game Dec. 29 to open Missouri Valley Conference play. The Shockers return home for games against Drake Jan. 1 and Bradley Jan. 3 at Charles Koch Arena.
