Lucy Parson was named assistant director of equipment services for Wichita State Athletics in April of 2025.
Parson oversees equipment operations for the Shocker baseball, softball, cross country, track & field and women's bowling teams.
A native of Denton, Texas, Parson came to Wichita State as a graduate assistant for equipment in July 2024 before being elevated to assistant director after nine months.
Prior to Wichita State, Parson was a student intern equipment manager (2022-23) and student marketing intern (2021-23)Â at the University of Arkansas. She received her bachelor's degree in recreation and sport management from Arkansas in December 2023. While attending Arkansas, she also spent the summer of 2023 as a gameday marketing intern for the Northwest Arkansas Naturals Minor League Baseball organization.
She is currently working towards a master's degree in sport management at Wichita State with an anticipated graduation of May 2026.
