David Kirk enters his first year with Playfly Sports and serves as the Director of Partnership Sales of Shocker Sports Properties, a division of Playfly Sports Properties, the exclusive multi-media rights representative for Shocker Athletics. Kirk spent the past two years as Director of Sales with INTRUST Bank Arena, a Legends x ASM Global managed property in Wichita, KS.
He also previously spent time with the Aspire Group as Senior Director of Sponsorship and Ticket Sales Operations at Tarleton State University located in Stephenville, Texas. During his time at TSU, the athletic department saw a 22% overall increase in partnership sales and a 34% increase in corporate donations and held successful marketing campaigns across all sports. Also, led the team that saw a 40% increase in Football Season Tickets, sold out Basketball, and implemented new baseball and softball season tickets.
Kirk comes to Shocker Sports properties with over 20 years of sales and management experience and will begin his twelfth year in the sports industry. He began his sports career with an internship in the SASO office with WSU Athletics while attending graduate school, then took a full-time role with the National Baseball Congress here in Wichita, KS. Later transitioned into minor league baseball working with the Tulsa Drillers, Round Rock Express, and the Wichita Wind Surge, as well as brief stints in independent professional sports.
A Texas native, David was a college student- athlete and graduated from Tarleton State University with a degree in Sport Management. Kirk also earned his MEd in Sport Management from Wichita State University.
