Donnie Wallace

Donnie Wallace is in his second season as Volunteer Assistant for the Shockers after three seasons as Head Volleyball Coach at Southwestern College.

Wallace led the Builders to the most wins in at least five seasons and their highest KCAC tournament seed in more than a decade.

While coaching at Southwestern, Wallace founded the Wichita Xpress Volleyball Club. Wichita Xpress teams won the Colorado Crossroads National Qualifier in 2013 and achieved several top 10 finishes at other national qualifier tournaments.

Wallace’s volleyball coaching career started with an impressive stint at Wichita Collegiate School. For the first time in school history, the Spartans went to the state tournament and won the class 3A state championship. That year, Wallace was named All-Metro Coach of the Year.

Wallace earned a bachelor’s degree in physical sciences from Kansas State in 2003 and a master’s degree in sport administration from Wichita State in 2007.

Donnie and his wife Danielle reside in Wichita with their children Anya, Logan and Riley. Danielle played volleyball for the Shockers in 2002.
