Outdoor - Entered five meets...Opened his season at the K.T. Woodman Classic with a javelin mark of 46.09m/151-2...Recorded a personal best javelin throw of 52.77m/173-1 finishing 12th at the 92nd Kansas Relays...Threw 50.82m/166-9 at the Texas Tech Corky/Crofoot Shootout and 51.39m/168-7 at the Shocker Open...Placed 12th in the American Athletic Conference Championships javelin with a mark of 52.37m/171-10.
2018: Indoor - Competed in four meets, including two top-5 finishes...Placed third at the Shocker Prelude weigh throw with a mark of 14.57m/47-9.75...Finished fifth at the Herm Wilson Invitational weight throw with a mark of 14.48m/47-6.25.
Outdoor - Injured and did not compete.
Barton County CC: Indoor - Finished fifth in the weight throw (41-3/12.57m) at the 2016 Bill Easton Classic...Set a personal best 45-8.5/13.93m in the weight throw to finish third at the Cavalier Night Relays.
Outdoor - Finished 15th in the javelin with a mark of 163-11/49.97m at the 2016 NJCAA Outdoor National Championships...Set a personal best 184-7/56.27m in the javelin to finish 12th at the K.T. Woodman Classic.
High School: Lettered in football, basketball and track and field...All-state honorable mention honors for football in 2015, and basketball in 2014 and 2015...Finished second at state in the javelin during his senior season...Member of National Honor Society...Also recruited by Hutchinson CC and Pitt State.
Personal: Son of Kelly and Linda Patterson...Has two sisters, Kelsey and Kylie, and one brother, Trey...Father Kelly played baseball, and mother Linda played basketball at Hutchinson CC...Sisters Kelsey played volleyball, and Kylie played basketball at Cowley CC...Majoring in sport management.
