Kaylee Eklund Career Stats
2014 (Senior): INDOOR- Vaulted to a second place finish at the Herm Wilson Invitational with a mark of 11-7... Set a season best indoor mark in the pole vault at the MVC Indoor Championships with a vault of 11-9. OUTDOOR- First place finish in the pole vault at the KT Woodman Classic... Also won the pole vault at the ESU Mid-Week Open with a vault of 11-11 3/4... Recorded a career best vault of 12-5 1/2 at the KSU Wildcat Open to finish in second place... Finished ninth at the MVC Outdoor Championships.
2013 (Junior): INDOOR- Vaulted at two meets for the Shockers with a season best of 11-1 ¾ at the Jayhawk Classic. OUTDOOR: Did Not Compete
Johnson County Community College: Finished third at the NJCAA Championships in both the indoor and outdoor pole vault. Earned Junior College All-American Honors four times in the pole vault with the Cavaliers. Placed fourth at the 2011 K.T. Woodman Classic with a vault of 10-6. Helped the Cavaliers win the Women's Team Triple Crown in 2012.
Northern Heights High School: Placed second in state in the 100m dash as a senior and finished fourth in the long jump at the Kansas State Meet. Won regional championships in the 200m dash as a senior. Captured the regional championship in both the long jump and the 100m dash in each of her last three years with the Wildcats.
Personal: Daughter of Galen and Karen Eklund. Has an older brother, Brian, and a younger brother named Nathan.
