High School: Mays’ personal bests include at 22.17 in the 200m, 48.73 in the 400m, 1:58 in the 800 m and 6-2 in the high jump at Rose Hill High School... Was a Class 4A State Champion in the 400m, and runner-up in the Class 4A 200m as a senior... Four-year State meet qualifier... 4x4 team wwas first at the State meet as a sophomore, and he was fifth in the 400 and seventh in the 200 as a junior... Lettered four years in track and field, two years in football and one year in basketball... Was named second team all-State at corner in football and honorable mention first team all-State in special teams.
