Vaughn was named volunteer assistant coach for the Shockers in the fall of 2022.
He joins the Shockers after spending four years as a volunteer assistant coach and operations assistant at his alma mater, Northern Colorado. Vaughn worked primarily with the sprinters, hurdlers, multis and relay teams.
He earned a Master of Science in Sports Administration from UNC in 2022 after completing his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Sports and Exercise Science: Sport Coaching in 2018. While in graduate school, he served as a graduate assistant academic advisor for student-athletes at Northern Colorado.
Vaughn was a member of the Bears' track and field team from 2014-18, running the 200 meters and 400 meters. During his time as a student-athlete, he served on the NCAA Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Executive Board, advocating for student-athlete mental health and acting as a student-athlete ambassador with school administration.
