2018 USATF Outdoor Championships - Javelin 70.93m/232-8 (6th)
2019: Won five of the seven javelin competitions entered...Opened the season winning the first two home meets throwing 70.56m/231-6 at the Herm Wilson Invitational and 72.45m/237-8 at the K.T. Woodman Classic...Recorded a season best mark of 75.33m/247-2 to win the 92nd Kansas Relays, mark was No. 3 in the nation at the time...Won the highly competitive Texas Tech Corky/Crofoot Shootout with a mark of 73.62m/241-6...Defended his American Athletic Conference javelin title winning for a second consecutive season with a toss of 72.93m/239-3...Made his fourth NCAA West Regional appearance finishing third with a mark of 71.30m/233-11...Finished with first team All-American honors placing fifth with a throw of 73.11m/239-10, becoming the first male Shocker in th program's history to become a two-time first team All-American in javelin.
2018: Competed in eight meets, including six top-5 finishes...Won four regular season meets, including the Emporia State Spring Invite (69.18m/227-0), K.T. Woodman Classic (72.05m/236-5), Central Missouri Mule Relays (68.34m/224-2) and Shocker Open (69.76m/228-10)...Set a school record throw of 77.49m254-3 winning the American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championship...Finished fourth at the NCAA West Preliminary with a throw of 70.55m/231-5...Earned first team All-America honors finishing eighth at the NCAA Championships with a toss of 70.26m/230-6.
2017: Competed in seven meets, including five top five finishes...Won the Arkansas Spring Invitational with a throw of 216-0/65.85m...Set a personal best with a mark of 229-3/69.88m to win the MVC Outdoor Championships...Finished 15th at the NCAA West Preliminaries with a throw of 215-7/65.70m
2016: Did not compete.
2015: Was second in the javelin at the 2015 MVC Outdoor Championship to earn All-Valley honors (214-9/65.47m)... Personal best came at the ESU Invitational (220-7/67.23m).

High School: Attended
Southern Coffey County High School in LeRoy, Kan...High School personal best, school record and state meet record was 202’-0”... True was the 2014 1A State Champion in the javelin... Lettered four years in track and field and in basketball where he holds many school records... Averaged 20 points and 9.8 rebounds a game... Best as a freshman was 105, and finished his high school career at 202 feet... Helped his team to the regional title as a snior and had the 15th-best throw in the nation and second-best in the state... Was named Valedictorian, a Kansas Honor Scholar and Governor's Scholar.
Personal: Son of Jeff and LaDonna True...Has two brothers, Ryan and Nathan... Also recruited by Kansas State and Nebraska...Majoring in finance.
