Biography

As a Junior (2006):
Played in 35 games with 10 starts for the Shockers in 2006... Started six games at catcher and four games at designated player... Hit .261 with 12 hits, two home runs and nine RBI... Moved into a tie for ninth on the all-time home run list after hitting her 10th career home run... Was hit by a pitch twice, moving her into a tie for third on the all-time list with 18... Recorded one game with multiple hits and one game with multiple RBI... Hit .500 against left-handers and .333 with runners in scoring position... Went 1-for-1 with three RBI against nationally-ranked BYU on Feb. 24... Named to both the AD's Honor Roll and the Dean's Honor Roll for both the Fall 2005 and Spring 2006 semesters... Recipient of the Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award and named to the Missouri Valley Conference Honor Roll.


In the Postseason (2005):

Was hitless in two plate appearances in the 2005 NCAA Norman Regional.


As a Sophomore (2005):
Played in 43 games and started 18 contests for the Shockers in 2005... Hit .250 in 60 plate appearances... Finished season in a tie for fourth among conference players after being hit by a pitch six times, which moved her into fourth on the all-time ledger at WSU... Hit three home runs with 22 RBI... Hit a grand slam en route to seven RBI against Missouri State in the State Farm MVC Tournament to tie the single-game RBI record... Moved into a tie for ninth on the all-time home run list with eight home runs... Maintained a .750 slugging percentage in the MVC Tournament... Hit .667 with the bases loaded and .480 with two outs... Had one multiple-hit and three multiple-RBI games... Recorded a four-game hit streak from March 6-12... Named to both the AD’s Honor Roll and the Dean’s Honor Roll for both the Spring and Fall 2005 semesters... Recipient of the MVC Commissioner’s Academic Excellence Award and was named to the Missouri Valley Conference Honor Roll.


As a Freshman (2004):
Played in 61 games with 55 starts for the Shockers in 2004... Started 40 games at designated player and 15 games as the Shocker catcher... Spent the majority of the season as the Shockers’ clean-up hitter, starting 45 games as the fourth batter in the lineup... Hit .236 with 37 hits, good for a tie for second on the team... Recorded nine doubles and five home runs with a team second-best 21 RBI... Was hit-by-pitch 10 times, which ranks second on the single-season list, and placed her in a tie for sixth on the all-time hit-by-pitch chart... Fielded .992 with just one error as a catcher... Hit .353 against left-handers... Led team with 14 two-out RBI... Second on the squad with nine multiple-hit and six multiple-RBI games... Recorded a season and career-high six-game hitting streak from Feb. 28 - March 6... Scored a team season-high three runs against Friends on April 21... Tied a team season-high with 14 putouts against Friends on April 21... Went 2-for-3 with two RBI against Missouri State on March 5... Was 2-for-5 with three RBI against Louisiana-Monroe on March 6... Was a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI against Northern Iowa on April 4... Named to the AD’s Honor Roll for Fall 2003 and Spring 2004 semesters and to the Dean’s Honor Roll for the Fall 2003 semester... Named a NFCA Scholar-Athlete.


In High School:
Attended Thomas Jefferson High School in Auburn, Washington... Played for head coach Tara Bacher... Earned one letter in track and four in softball... Was a three-time selection to the all-City team as a catcher... A two-time all-SPSL catcher... Named to the all-area team... Received team slugger award... Batted .537 in 2002, which was second-best in the league... Helped lead team to two-consecutive SPSL South Championships, and a fifth-place finish in the Washington State tournament as a junior... Recorded a 3.91 GPA... Member of the Honor Roll and Honor Society... Named an All-American student.
