Rachel Valentine is in her first season with the Wichita State softball program as a graduate manager.
Valentine graduated from the University of Iowa in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in English. While attending Iowa, she was a member of the rowing team for two years before joining the softball program as a manager. In the classroom, Valentine was a Big Ten Conference Distinguished Scholar Award winner, while also earning Academic All-Big Ten honors and the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association National Scholar-Athlete Award during her career.
She also received a master's degree in sport management and recreation management from Iowa in 2020.
Her older sister, Samantha, played softball at Iowa from 2009-13.
Valentine will be pursuing a master's in sports counseling at Wichita State with an anticipated graduation in 2023.
