Presley Bell begins her second season as an assistant coach and pitching coach for the Shocker Softball program.

Bell was promoted to a full time assistant in June 2021 after spending two seasons as a graduate assistant.

In her second season as a graduate assistant, Bell stepped into a larger role working with the Shocker pitching staff and provided stability and leadership. Redshirt senior Bailey Lange went 22-8 in the circle and earned Second Team All-Conference honors under Bell’s guidance.

Wichita State pitchers tallied seven shutouts in 2021, while holding opposing batters to just a .239 average.

Bell was an American Athletic Conference Second Team selection during her senior campaign at Houston after posting a 13-4 record in the circle. The Liberty, Texas, native threw 115.1 innings to go with a 1.52 ERA. Her ERA ranked 25th nationally and second in The American.

She appeared in 86 career games for the Cougars during her four-year career and was also a four-time All-Academic Team member and two-time NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete.

Bell received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston in May 2019.
