Hailey Breakwell begins her second year as the graduate manager for the Wichita State softball program.
In her first season with the Shockers, Breakwell was part of a team that finished 32-20 overall (16-9 MVC), eventually falling in the second round of the Missouri Valley Conference tournament.
A former Shortstop standout at Idaho State, Breakwell earned first-team All-Big Sky Conference honors in 2014 and 2015 while earning the 2014 Big Sky Conference Player of the Year award. She also earned second-team NFCA all-region honors in her junior year while winning the Big Sky Conference Regular Season Championship in 2013, '14 and '15. Breakwell holds the career record for most assists at Idaho State with 132 and is tied for most games played in one season with 55.
A native of Napa, Calif., Breakwell represents the New Zealand national softball team through dual citizenship.
