Biography

As a Junior (2007):
Appeared in 35 games in the circle for the Shockers in 2007, finishing the season with a 10-11 record and a team-best 2.44 ERA... Started 21 games in the circle and 20 games as the designated player, batting .329 at the plate with four home runs and 15 RBI in 77 plate appearances... Set the school’s single-season record for strikeouts per seven innings, averaging 8.91... Recorded the third-lowest opposing batting average in WSU history, allowing hitters to bat just .182 against her... Became just the fourth pitcher in school history to top 200 strikeouts in season with 201... Recorded two saves and four shutouts in 158.0 innings of work... Went 5-4 with a 1.35 ERA while batting .375 in conference play... Recorded six multiple-hit and four multiple-RBI games while ending the season on a four-game hitting streak... Hit .341 with runners on base and .344 with runners in scoring position... Went 4-for-7 in pinch-hitting opportunities... Allowed an average of less than four hits per game in conference action... Recorded six double-digit strikeout performances including 14 at Bradley on April 21, tying WSU’s single-game record... Allowed no hits in three of her relief appearances... Named to the Shocker Invitational All-Tournament Team... Selected MVC Pitcher of the Week on April 23.

Attended Cowley [Kan.] CCC in Arkansas City, Kan... Played for head coach Ed Hargrove... Named a two-time junior college All-American... Twice selected Jayhawk Conference Eastern Divison Most Valuable Player... Named first team all-Region VI... Led team to two-straight Jayhawk East titles... Recorded a 72-12 record in the circle in two seasons... Posted an 0.80 ERA with a school record 403 strikeouts as a sophomore... Led the Tigers in hits (88), batting average (.454), home runs (12) and runs batted in (56) her sophomore year... Helped lead the Tigers to a fourth-place finish at the NJCAA Division II National Softball Championships as a sophomore... Posted an 0.88 ERA as a freshman with 321 strikeouts in 254.1 innings pitched... Hit .495 as a freshman with a team-high 100 hits 11 home runs and 67 RBI.

In High School:
Attended Putnam City High School in Oklahoma City, Okla... Named all-Metro Conference pitcher all four years... Selected first-team all-Big City utility as a junior, first-team all-Big City pitcher as a senior and was an all-state selection her senior year... The final game of her senior year was a 1-0 34-inning loss in the Oklahoma State playoffs to Sapulpa in which she pitched all 34 innings... Graduated with a 3.00 GPA.
