Second Team All-Conference... American All-Freshman Team... Named to the Fall Athletic Director's Honor Roll... Started all 52 games at second base as a true freshman... Led the team with 58 total hits... Hit .328 with 27 runs, 10 doubles, a triple, three home runs, 24 RBIs, 11 walks and only 13 strikeouts over 193 plate appearances... Had 16 games with multiple hits... Went 3-for-5 with two runs at North Texas on April 26... Singled, doubled, scored a run and drove in a run at Kansas City on April 22... Had two hits, including a double at Charlotte on April 19... Posted multiple hits in four straight games during Mid April... Two hits in back-to-back games vs. UTSA, including a triple and two RBIs on April 10... Had a three-hit game with two RBIs vs. Tulsa on April 4... Singled twice and drove in a pair of runs vs. Tulsa on April 3... Homered, doubled and drove in two runs at No. 3 Oklahoma on March 31... Tied the school record with six at bats in an 11-inning game at South Florida on March 27... In that game she had three hits, including a double and a home run... Tallied an RBI double vs. Florida Atlantic on March 21... Went 3-for-5 with two runs in the series opener at East Carolina on March 6... Smacked a three-run home run vs. Drake on Feb. 28... Recorded her second three-hit game vs. Creighton on Feb. 21... Her first career three-hit game came at Texas State on Feb. 13... Doubled and drove in a run vs. Northwestern State on Feb. 7... Recorded her first collegiate hit and RBI in the season opener vs. Mississippi State on Feb. 6.

HIGH SCHOOL
Smith comes to Wichita State as a middle infielder from Kiefer High School in Sapulpa, Okla... Last year, Smith hit an incredible .654 and slugged an outrageous 1.413... Of her 68 hits, 14 of them left the yard and she drove in 55 runners... She has been named District Player of the Year three consecutive years and was First Team All-State last year in Oklahoma... She holds five school records at Kiefer including single season home runs (14), fewest career strikeouts (3), career RBIs (145), career hits (214) and career fielding percentage (.981)... Outside of softball, she has placed in state track in the 4x400 relay and has served as Parliamentarian in each of her last three years at Kiefer.

PERSONAL
She is the daughter of Darrell and Kendra Smith and has a sister, Skylar, and brother, Daxton... She plans to major in business at WSU.
