Biography
2022-23 (Senior):
Sixth-year senior and former Hutchinson Community College JUCO All-American returned to the Sunflower State after three years at Alabama… Veteran leader and blue collar defender was voted Shocker Radio Defensive Player of the Year by the WSU staff... Appeared in 31 games with 26 starts as a stretch-four and averaged 10.3 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 25.5 minutes… Scored in double figures twice in the first 15 games but finished the year strong with 10+ points in 15 of his last 17 contests… Excelled at drawing fouls (team-high 121) and getting to the line (108-of-138, .783)… In conference play ranked among the league leaders in turnover percentage (2nd, 67.0), defensive rebound percentage (4th, 21.0), fouls drawn (5th, 5.1-per-40) and steal percentage (9th, 2.84)… Tallied three double-doubles… Finished with a career-high 20 points in the Feb. 26 win at Tulane… Nabbed a personal-best 11 boards to go with 11 points in a Feb. 16 road victory at Temple… Made the Feb. 6 American Athletic Conference weekly honor roll after helping WSU rally from 16-down in the second half to defeat Tulsa (Feb. 5). He finished with 11 points, 10 rebounds and five assists.

At Alabama (2019-22):
Appeared in 47 games over three injury-plagued years in Tuscaloosa that included separate ACL tears to both knee … Injured his right knee during the 2019-20 preseason and received a medical redshirt… Played through a wrist injury during the 2020-21 season but still logged time in 30 games for an Alabama team that reached the Sweet 16… Averaged 2.9 points and 2.6 rebounds in 11.2 minutes… Injured his left knee in June, 2021 and missed the first half of the 2021-22 campaign… Returned Jan. 15, 2022 and played in the final 17 games, averaging 5.4 points and 2.4 rebounds in 13.5 minutes, while helping the Tide earn an at-large berth in the NCAA tournament… Set career-highs with 15 points in a Jan. 5, 2021 win over Florida and had seven rebounds and three blocks in a Jan. 19, 2021 victory at LSU.

Junior College (2017-19):
Started his college career at Hutchinson Community College – less than an hour up the road from Wichita – and earned First Team NJCAA All-America honors as a sophomore in 2019… Averaged a team-high 19.0 points in his final season along with 6.8 rebounds and 1.5 steals to earn Jayhawk West Player of the Year status… Shot 50.4% from the field, 38.4% from three and 79.5% at the free throw line… Topped 20 points on 16 occasions… Finished his Hutch career ranked 25th on the all-time scoring list (932 points) and eighth in free throw makes (292)… Coached by Steve Eck…. Originally committed to Buffalo but followed Coach Nate Oats to Alabama.

Played at Jamestown High School under head coach Ben Drake… Named to the 2017 All-Western New York First Team… Was also tabbed to the 2017 New York State Sportswriters Association Class AA fifth team, which came on the heels of his third-team all-state selection as a junior during the 2015-16 season… 2017 Erie County Interscholastic Conference Division I Player of the Year and a first team All-ECIC choice – a selection that takes into account all players in the conference’s four divisions… New York Post-Journal’s Player of the Year and a first team All-Western New York honoree… Averaged 27.1 points, 10.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.3 blocks per game as a senior… Ended his high school career with 1,190 points, which is fourth on the Red Raiders’ all-time list.
