David Barbieri was named the volunteer assistant men’s tennis coach for Wichita State in the fall of 2021.
Barbieri joins the Shockers after serving as a graduate assistant coach at Jacksonville State and a volunteer assistant for both Drake and of Missouri.
Prior to coaching, Barbieri was a member of the tennis team at William Woods. He also attended Bethany College, where he led his team to a No. 1 national ranking and a quarterfinal appearance at the NAIA national tournament.
Barbieri is a native of Buenos Aires, Argentina
