SOPHOMORE (2026)
Named to the Fall Athletic Director's Honor Roll with a 4.0 GPA... Had a breakout final month of the season to help Wichita State win a share of the regular season title... After appearing in only six games all season, she entered the starting lineup on April 11 and never came out... Finished the season starting the final 14 games at catcher... She hit .375 with nine runs, 18 hits, four doubles, four home runs and 12 RBIs for the season... Singled twice in the regular season finale vs. Memphis on May 2... Doubled and drove in a run vs. Memphis on May 1... Was a perfect 3-for-3 with a double in the series opener vs. the Tigers on April 30... Had her first career multi-home run game at North Texas on April 25, including a go-ahead three-run home run in the sixth inning... She finished the game 2-for-3 with two homers and four RBIs... Smacked a solo home run in the series opener at North Texas on April 24... Recorded a hit in all three games at Charlotte... In the doubleheader vs. UTSA on April 11, she was given her opportunity... Earning the start at catcher, she responded by going 2-for-3 in each game, including her first career home run.

CENTRAL ARKANSAS (2025)
Wichita State added depth at the catcher position with the signing of Aeryn Shuman of Central Arkansas... Shuman wrapped up her freshman campaign, playing in 18 games and making 11 starts... She hit .273 with two doubles, a triple, a home run, seven RBIs, eight runs and five walks.

HIGH SCHOOL
A native of Ardmore, Okla., Shuman attended Lone Grove High School where she was named Player of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year and Catcher of the Year as a senior... She holds school home run record and helped lead her team to a state title in 2022 and a state runner-up finish in 2023.

PERSONAL
She is the daughter of Steve and Alice Shuman, and has one sister, Jesse... Shuman plans to major in psychology at Wichita State.
