2015-16 (Senior): Appeared in 28 of the 35 games with the majority of that action coming during the first month of the season… Averaged 2.5 points and 4.8 rebounds in six November games… Scored a season-high six points in a Nov 21 win over Emporia State… Twice grabbed seven boards in a game (vs. ESU and again Nov. 27 against Alabama)… Made his first career start on Nov. 29 against Iowa at the AdvoCare Invitational… Played a career-high 20 minutes in WSU’s INTRUST Bank Arena win over No. 25 Utah, finishing with four points on 2-of-2 shooting and a pair of rebounds… Chipped in two points and two boards in an overtime loss at Seton Hall (Dec. 19) but missed the following game with back spasms… Played sparingly the rest of the season as the Dec. 19 return of Anton Grady from a spinal concussion and the emergence of sophomore Shaquille Morris at the center position began taking up the majority of the minutes in the low post… Did not see action during the MVC Tournament but played six minutes in NCAA Tournament wins over Vanderbilt and Arizona…
 
2014-15 (Junior): Provided key defensive minutes, especially late in the year as he became acclimated to Division I basketball and the Gregg Marshall system… Appeared in 32 games off the bench at the center spot, averaging 1.1 points and 1.5 rebounds in 6.0 minutes per contest… Played 13 key minutes against Northern Iowa on Feb. 28 with WSU’s front court depleted by foul trouble and helped shut down MVC Player of the Year Seth Tuttle for a long stretch, while scoring two key buckets… Played a season-high 14 minutes in the NCAA Tournament against Kansas, again providing defensive energy… Hit a free throw in that game for his first postseason points… Had a season-best eight points in a Nov. 23 win over Newman and had a pair of five-point performances against Loyola Marymount (Dec. 22) and Southern Illinois (Jan. 14).
 
Previous Schools: Played his sophomore season at JUCO power Kilgore (Texas)... Team finished 25-6 with a No. 20 national ranking… Averaged 6.0 points and 6.8 rebounds in 31 games with a team-high 29 blocked shots…  Scored in double-figures seven times and claimed nine double-figure rebound games… Season-bests were 11 points and 15 rebounds… Coached by Brian Hoberecht…
 
Spent his freshman year at Wiley College – an NAIA school in Marshall, Texas, where his mother serves as head volleyball coach… Averaged 2.7 points and 2.6 rebounds.
 
High School: A 2011 graduate of Maseno High School in Kenya… Played just one season of high school basketball – his senior year – but drew interest from college coaches after a late growth spurt… Coached by Paul Otula
 
Personal: Full name is Tom Bush Wamukota… Born Sept. 28, 1993 in Bungoma, Kenya… Son of Dan Wamyama and Nancy Sikobe… Mother played volleyball at Columbia College… Has two sisters: Tracey and Melisa… Majoring in International Business… Drew interest from Saint Louis, Houston, Texas Tech and Utah State… Chose WSU, in part because of the strong reputation of its business program…. Favorite athlete is Hakeem Olajuwon…. Majoring in Sports Management.
