Wichita State Athletics

Ryan Hillard has been involved with Shocker men's basketball since 2008. The 2024-25 season will marks his 17th with the program and his second as Chief of Staff after serving the past decade as Special Assistant to the Head Coach.

Hillard is responsible for the program's internal operations, including budgetary matters, recruiting travel, ticketing, special events and other organizational duties on behalf of head coach Paul Mills, staff and student-athletes. He also serves as primary contact for former Shocker players.

The former Wichita State men's basketball manager (2008-12) earned his undergraduate degree in Sport Management from Wichita State in May of 2011 and later added a master’s degree, also in Sport Management.

Hillard and his wife, Keely, have two children, Lowen and Hugh.
