Junior (2005-06): Ryan Martin was named to the Valley All-Bench Team after shooting a team-second 50.3 percent from the field only behind Paul Miller...He had a career-high 13 rebounds against Illinois State, which tied PJ Couisnard’s 13, and was second to Paul Miller’s 15....He had two of the 10 double-figure rebounding games for WSU...His regular-season-high points were nine against Illinois State and Texas Southern...Martin reached double-figure scoring for the first time with 10 points in each NCAA Tournament game in Greensboro...He led WSU in rebounding four times.
At Coffeyville CC: Named the 2005 Jayhawk Conference Eastern Division Player-of-the-Year....Averaged 12.6 points and 7.4 rebounds as CCC’s leading scorer as a freshman and 17.5 and 7.0 rebounds as a sophomore while shooting better than 50 percent from the field each season...Scored more than 1,000 points in his two seasons at CCC...Also named all-conference, all-region and JuCo All-American...Game highs were 31 points, 18 rebounds, five assists and four steals...Coffeyville won the Jayhawk Conference Region IV, and placed fifth in the 2003-04 NJCAA Tournament, and won the Jayhawk Conference in 2004-05 with 31-7 and 24-8 records, respectively.
