Biography
Junior (2009-10): Started all 35 WSU games... Honored at the team banquet as the Shelley Cox/KAKE-TV Leadership Award recipient… Was third in scoring to Toure Murry and Clevin Hannah with 11.2 points a game ... Had a then-career-high 20 points against then- No. 16 Texas Tech but upped that career-high to 21 in the final home game of the season against SIU ... Was recognized by Head Coach Gregg Marshall for his improved hustle and play since his redshirt freshman year, Marshall’s first at WSU... Also tied his career-high with 10 rebounds against Texas Tech before a 13- rebound effort at Bradley Feb. 24, both which were double-doubles with 20 and 13 points, respectively... His 48.4 percent from the field was second on the team... Had a stretch of double-figure scoring for eight of 11 games, but then scored in single-digits twice before the team-leading 19 against UNI in Wichita... Averaged 15.2 points a game in the final four games of the regular season… 71 career blocks ranks seventh at WSU.
Sophomore (2008-09): Named the Cleo Littleton Most Improved Player, an honor he shared with teammate Graham Hatch... Had 16 double-figure scoring games, including 13 of the last 15 games of the season, and the last seven-straight... Was the only Shocker outside of Ramon Clemente to have a double-double with his 10 points and 10 rebounds against Missouri State... Led WSU in scoring nine times, including a career-high 19 points against SIU in Wichita... The 10 boards against MSU also tied his career-high and was one of the 11 times he led WSU in rebounding... Third on the team in scoring with 8.9 points and was second in rebounds at 4.4 rpg to Clemente's 7.1 rpg... His 50.2 shooting percentage from the field ranked seventh in the MVC, while he was fifth in blocks per game at 1.0, and fourth in Valley-only field goal percentage... His four blocks against Cleveland State was tied for second-best in the MVC in 2008-09... Named Shocker Radio Player of the Game two times... Led the team with 33 blocks to go with his 16 as a freshman to move to within one block of Henry Carr's 50 from 1983-87 for 16th on the WSU career chart... Had a career-high four assists against Buffalo in the CBI Tournament... Averaged 14.0 ppg in Valley Tournament.
Redshirt Freshman (2007-08): Played in all 31 games as a redshirt freshman, averaging 7.0 points per game, which ties with Ramon Clemente for the best average of the returnees...Named to the Missouri Valley Conference all-freshman team...Scored a career-high 18 points against Northern Iowa...Scored his second best point total, 17, against Maryland-Baltimore County early in the season...Scored double-figures seven times, including his debut, a 12-point effort against Arkansas-Pine Bluff in the season opener...Hit 16 treys, best of all returnees, and shot 46.4 percent from the field, which is second-best of returnees to Clemente's 50 percent...Named to the WSU AD's honor roll in the spring.
Freshman (2006-07): Redshirted at WSU while rehabilitating his right knee.
High School: Averaged 16 points and 10 rebounds per game under head coach Tim Ender...Lettered in football, basketball, baseball and track...Named a TABC All-Star and was selected MVP of the TABC All-Star Game...An all-District 13 3A performer and named MVP of the district...Career-high performances were 35 points, 18 rebounds, seven assists and four steals on separate occasions.
