Biography
2011-12 (Junior): Started 23-of-33 games while earning praise for his defensive effort and improvement... Had seven double-figure scoring games, including a season-high 12 against Charleston Southern and Newman... Scored double-figures three-straight times late in the season.
2010-11 (Sophomore): Scored a season-high 14 points against Chicago State in Wichita... Had four double-figure scoring games... Lone start was against Indiana State in Wichita when he shot 50 percent (5-10) from the field... Season-high five assists came against Evansville in Wichita.
Freshman (2009-10): Played in the season opening exhibition before spraining his left ankle against FDU in the season-opener after his first career start... Did not play against Arkansas-Monticello, but played in the two CBE Championship round games against Pitt and Iowa in Kansas City... Scored five points in seven different games, then broke the five-point curse with a 12-point career-high at Evansville...Tied that career high of 12 against Illinois State at the MVC Tournament... Picked up a career-high four assists against Nevada in the NIT game… After a mid-season stretch of eight single-digit minutes, strung together 10-straight games of double-figure minutes, including a career-high 24 against Illinois State in the MVC Tournament.
High School: Averaged 16.4 points and 3.9 assists as a senior at Cheyenne High for coach Teral Fair… He led the Desert Shields to the Sunset Regional semifinals as a senior, as well…Also played for the Las Vegas Prospects AAU team of which five players signed to college teams…As a junior averaged 13.7 points a game…Lettered three years in basketball and was named first team all-region, first team all-league and second team all-state…Game-highs were 40 points, five rebounds, eight assist and five steals…Led his team to 21-6 record as a junior and 26-3 record as a senior for a two-year total of 47-9.
Personal: Son of Ronald Williams and Tatina Hudson...Born July 23, 1991, in Las Vegas...Has older brothers, Deandre, 25; and Thomas, 23, and younger brother Ronald, Jr, 21....Also considered Iowa, VCU and SMU and was also recruited by Washington State, Pepperdine, Montana State and Cal State-Fullerton... Majoring in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology.
