Tanner Garver is in his second season as a graduate manager on Gregg Marshall’s staff.
Garver’s role with the Shockers includes assisting the coaches with day-to-day activities, conducting individual workouts with players, coordinating recruiting mail outs, helping with team meals, assisting with all video aspects and overseeing the Wichita State team managers.
Prior to joining the Shocker staff, Garver worked four seasons (2013-17) as a student manager at Kansas State under the direction of head coach Bruce Weber, helping the Wildcats to a 73-59 record and two NCAA Tournaments. As a senior, he was selected co-head manager.
While at Kansas State, Garver assisted with the day-to-day operations of team and coaching staff, helping coordinate travel plans and team meals, documenting statistics and assisting with team video. On occasion, he even practiced, joining in as a member of the scout team.
Garver spent the summer of 2015 as a front office intern with the NBA’s Charlote Hornets. During that time, he helped create the team’s official NBA Draft book, providing statistical insight and information on potential draft picks and free agents. He also assisted with the front office’s day-to-day operations.
Garver graduated from Kansas State University in the May of 2017 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance with minors in Economics and Leadership.
The 24-year old, is a native of Basehor, Kansas and a graduate of Basehor-Linwood High School.
