Attended Bishop Carroll High School in Wichita, Kan…Lettered four years in baseball…Named all-city three times, all-metro and all-state…Member of team that qualified for state all four years and won class 5A during sophomore season, finished runner-up during junior season and placed third during senior season… As a junior, hit .389 with 33 runs, 21 hits, 13 RBI, four doubles, two triples and one home run…As a sophomore, hit .322 with 17 runs, 19 hits, 23 RBI, eight doubles, one triple and one home run and helped his team to a state championship.
