Named to the Fall Athletic Director's Honor Roll... Played in nine games, making four starts... Had one hit in 12 at bats... Drew a career-high three walks vs. Abilene Christian on Feb. 23... Logged a hit vs. San Diego State in the Clearwater Invitational on Feb. 14.

FRESHMAN (2024)
American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team... Named to the Fall Athletic Director's Honor Roll... Played in 20 games as a true freshman, making 13 starts between DP and catcher... Had four total hits, two of those being home runs... Drove in five runs and walked five times... RBI single in the series finale vs. UTSA (March 23)... Belted a solo home run in Wichita State's run-rule victory at East Carolina (March 17)... Her first career hit was a two-run home run vs. No. 14 Missouri (March 2)... Made her collegiate debut at No. 15 Arkansas.

HIGH SCHOOL
Coming all the way from the Sunshine State and River Ridge High School, Sophie Johnson was a four-year letterwinner and starter... She was ranked No. 48 in the Extra Inning Softball 2023 Extra Elite 100, and recently completed a season with nine home runs, 34 RBI, 31 runs, 14 doubles and three triples... Her career numbers in high school include a .395 average with 18 home runs, 21 doubles, 80 RBI and 56 runs, while slugging .831... As a sophomore she earned First Team All-State honors and is a two-time First Team All-Conference pick... In the classroom, Johnson has been on the honor roll.

PERSONAL
She is the daughter of Michael and Petrea Johnson, and she has one sister Claire... She plans to major in forensic sciences at Wichita State.
