Attended Sunnyvale High School in Sunnyvale, Texas…Lettered four years in baseball and two years in cross country…In 2016, named District MVP and THSBCA All-Star…In 2015, named first team all-state and District MVP…In 2014, named UIL MVP State Champion, first team all-state and first team all-district…As a senior, went 7-2 with 138 strikeouts and a 0.63 ERA…As a junior went 7-0 with 114 strikeouts and a 0.71 ERA…As a sophomore, went 10-3 with 103 strikeouts and a 1.14 ERA…As a freshman, went 6-1 with 44 strikeouts and a 1.23 ERA…Threw four no-hitters in high school…Member of team that won state championship during sophomore season…Listed as a Perfect Game top-500 recruit and the No. 14 left-handed pitcher in the state of Texas.
