Put together two prolific seasons with the Griffins, departing as the program's all-time home run leader...slashed a combined .324/.443/.673 in 77 total games with 25 doubles, four triples, 25 home runs and 88 RBI...named Honorable Mention All-Pacific Coast Athletic Conference as a sophomore in 2025...hit .285 with 10 doubles, 15 home runs and 47 RBI in 43 games...opened the season with two triples and a home run against Compton on January 24...hit seven home runs in an 11-game stretch from March 25-April 15 and did not go more than two games without a homer from March 25 through the end of the season...hit .377 with 15 doubles, 10 home runs and 41 RBI in 34 games as a freshman...hit his first collegiate home run and drove in five runs in his fourth career game on January 31 against Saddleback...launched three home runs and drove in seven against Imperial Valley on April 18...teammates at Grossmont with current Shockers Marland Jorgensen and Johnny Nuanez.

Prepped at St. Augustine High School in San Diego, California...was tabbed First Team All-Conference as both a junior and senior...earned First Team All-California honors as a senior...won High School Home Run Derby at Petco Park...also played football at St. Augustine.

Son of Mike and Shara Sweeney...has three sisters, McKara, Fiona, and Quinn, and two brothers, DJ and Ryan...father, Mike, was a five-time All-Star for the Kansas City Royals as part of a 16-year Major League career...grandfather, Mike Sweeney Sr., played professionally in the Los Angeles Angels minor league system...grandfather, Jim Nettles, spent six seasons in Major League Baseball with four different franchises...born March 6...majoring in Sport Management at Wichita State.
