Biography

Junior (2005-06): Karon Bradley was named to the Valley All-Newcomer Team as a junior...He was the Missouri Valley Conference Newcomer of the Week and WSU Student-Athlete-of-the-Week for the week of Jan. 9. He helped WSU complete its first-ever Illinois State-Bradley series road sweep (in 17 tries) with a 10-point win at Bradley. WSU then beat Missouri State at home. Karon averaged 15.5 points and shot 55.6 percent (10-of-18) from the field in WSU’s two wins. He also shot 55.6 percent from the arc (5-of-9) in the two games, averaged 2.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists. He tied a career-high with 19 points at Bradley and backed that with 12 in the win vs. Missouri State in Wichita...He was WSU’s leading scorer through the first three games, averaging 14.7 points and 4.0 rebounds in WSU’s three wins. He shot 70 percent (7-10) in WSU’s game against Texas Southern to lead WSU with 19 points...Bradley started all three games the second week of the season for WSU, averaging 8.3 points and 2.3 rebounds. In addition, he held No. 15 Illinois’ preseason AP All-American Dee Brown to 3-14 from the field and 2-9 from three-point territory for eight points as the primary defender...He was named the KFH Most Outstanding Defender during the end of the year celebration.

2004-05: Transferred to WSU from Marquette and sat out the 2004-05 season while practicing with the team.

At Marquette (2002-03 and 2003-04): Played in 26 games in 2003-04, and averaged 2.9 points and 0.9 rebounds a game while shooting 33.8 percent from the field...Had a career-high 10 points against Grambling and at Wisconsin, which broke his career-high of six points he had three times as a freshman...Toured with the NACEL All-Star team between his freshman and sophomore seasons...Played in 22 games as a freshman and was 3-of-3 from three-point range in the 2003 NCAA Midwest Regional, and shot 71.4 percent from beyond the arc (5-of-7) in MU’s five NCAA Tournament games en route to the Final Four...MU also played in the NIT his sophomore season.

High School: Averaged 28.0 points and 4.3 steals per game as a senior in helping Cypress Springs to a 26-6 record... Was coached as a prep by Randy Gilmer... Named to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Second Team in Class 5A... Garnered all-city honor, as well as two-time honoree to district and region teams... Named the MVP of the Academy NIKE National Tournament that was played in Houston... Scored 20 points in the Class 4-5A TABC All-Star game in May, 2000... Recorded six games of 40 or more points his senior year and had one game where he hit 10 three-pointers...Served as his team’s captain as a junior and senior... As a junior, he averaged 21.5 points and 3.5 steals in helping his team to a 26-9 record... Went to Marquette after being recruited by Oklahoma, Kansas State, Texas A&M, Rhode Island and South Carolina.

Personal: Son of Eric and Dena Bradley... Born June 3, 1984 in Houston, Texas...Has two younger sisters, Brittney and Erica... Communication major at WSU.
